Ive been stressed out of my mind. 5 classes at school + 2 jobs + housework + election. My blood pressure went up, my cholesterol went up, and I lost 15 pounds. Gotta love it. (NOT)
School is going good so far. I have A's in all my classes (except Medical Anthropology... I have a B. The professor is absolutely AWFUL.)
Work is just that. I only work at MCM a couple days a week now. I work at the hospital 4 days a week. I hate it there. I work with all black girls and they treat me absolutely awful because I'm white. I am desparetly searching for a new job, but for the time being the hospital pays really well and I need the money for bills. I just can't wait to graduate and get the hell out of there.
Housework... our house is a disaster. I'm never home to clean anything and when I am home I am usually studying.
The election... I don't know if I should even get started. I am so disappointed in my country right now. We just elected the most unqualified and inexperienced president in the history of the United States. He has made no notable contributions to this day. He has no foregin policy experience, and we are in a time of war. Why we would elect someone with no war experience is beyond me. We elected someone who promises to bankrupt our coal industry and make energy prices skyrocket. We elected a man with known ties to radicals. The media was extremely biased throughout the entire election. Over 95% of the black vote nationwide went to Obama. When I asked some blacks that I work with about his campaign they knew NOTHING other than that he promised change. I was baffled. These people knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about the issues. They didn't vote in the last election. BUT once they saw a black man running for President they were eager to get up and vote. How can you vote for someone when you know NOTHING about them? THAT my friends is racism. I don't ever want to hear another black person tell me how we "owe them" from the slavery days. My friend, I don't owe you SHIT.
And to be quite honest. I am happy that Prop 8 passed in California. Marriage is defined as being between "man and woman" and that is how it should stay.
